Been coming here for years now. Never a problem. Hotdogs are very good. Especially the Chili dogs. Reminds of a Hot dog place in San Jose California. Called Marks Hotdogs on Capitol expressway. Open since 1935. Main street footers is a great example of those Classic hotdogs served daily. People stop by and give them a try. You won't be disappointed

Love this place! Been coming here since I was a kid in the early 2000s. Great customer service, tons of seating inside and outside on a beautiful day, great location. Really love the various hotdogs, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and shakes. I bring out-of-towners here often.

The menu is vast, the toppings are great and the outdoor seating is shady and clean. Great place for lunch and a nice cool break in the shade. Oh and the service and food are tops.

Post workout meal at Footers? Sure why not. I was in town visiting and my partner had suggested we try this spot. It's got all the old school diner vibes, feels like I'm stepping into a 90s. Anyways, to the food.... I saw they had a tri-tip sandwich, so I went with that. My partner went with the Polish dog with all the fixings. And we added the cheesy enchilada soup, mac salad, and cherry cokes. My favorites were the chicken enchilada soup, so tasty and delicious, perfect for a cold day. The Mac salad is done really well, very mustard and egg heavy which I loved, I could eat that everyday. The Polish dog was good, and much better than my tri tip. The tri tip was dry and not fresh, would not go order again. Stick to the sausages would be my play. Overall, for the prices, it's super affordable. We got our meal for two under $30 and it was a lot of food. If you are craving some sausages or hot dogs, this spot is worth checking out.

Right across the street from our favorite bar in Turlock. Nice little deli style place. All the employees were very pleasant and friendly. So many choices to choose from and they all look and sound good. I started with getting my favorite type of sandwich (Reuben) but will definitely be back to work my way down not only the list of sandwiches but the list of different hotdogs! Gave a four star only because I want to try more options before I upgrade to a five star, gotta make ''em work for it!

Main Street Footers

Looking for the best spot in Turlock to grab classic American comfort food with a side of small-town charm? Main Street Footers at 425 E Main St Turlock, CA 95380 is that kind of place—where the food is flavorful, the service comes with a smile, and every bite tastes like a local favorite.

A go-to local gem for hot dogs, chili, and unforgettable flavors

Right in the heart of downtown, Main Street Footers isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a neighborhood tradition. Known for its signature foot-long hot dogs smothered in homemade chili, melty cheese, and a variety of toppings, this spot has become a staple for both locals and travelers who know where the good stuff is.

What makes it special isn’t just the food—it’s the experience. From the moment you step through the door, there’s a vibe that feels vintage yet timeless. Customers walk in wearing everything from baseball caps to business suits, united by a shared craving for something real. The buzz of conversation, the smell of grilled sausages, and the pop of soda bottles cracking open—this is comfort food culture in its purest form.

The menu? It’s simple, but that’s exactly the point. Footers, burgers, chili fries, and even veggie dogs—all made fresh to order, without the fuss. You don’t come here for foam or fancy plating. You come here because it’s filling, fast, and full of flavor.

Where quality ingredients and small-town service make all the difference

One of the standout things about Main Street Footers is the way it sticks to the good stuff. The buns are always toasted just right. The dogs have that perfect snap. And the chili? It’s not out of a can—it’s house-made, slow-cooked, and full of bold flavor that locals swear by.

There’s no mistaking the quality of the ingredients here. Even the cheese is real cheddar, grated fresh every day. When you order fries, you get them hot and crispy—never soggy or half-cooked. It’s that attention to detail, the kind that chains often skip over, that sets this spot apart.

From a culinary perspective, what they do is deceptively simple. But mastering the classic American hot dog takes skill. There’s a balance in flavor and texture that doesn’t happen by accident. It’s something they’ve honed over years of listening to customers, trying new combinations, and sticking to what works.

Walk into the kitchen during a busy lunch rush, and you’ll see a tightly-run crew that knows their way around a grill. It’s loud, it’s fast-paced, but it runs like clockwork. There’s pride in the way they do things here—and you can taste it.

A menu built for regulars, travelers, and late-night cravings

You don’t have to be from Turlock to feel like you belong at Main Street Footers. The staff remember faces, chat with customers like old friends, and are quick to recommend their personal favorites. It’s the kind of place you visit once and instantly wish you had back home.

The menu hits all the right notes if you’re hungry for something hearty. From classic chili cheese dogs to loaded pastrami burgers and even the unexpected but welcome addition of crinkle-cut fries piled with jalapeños and ranch, there’s always something that surprises.

Locals especially love the Footer Special—a foot-long hot dog with everything on it, plus a side of fries and a drink. It’s the go-to for anyone who wants to eat well without breaking the bank.

If you’re just passing through or craving a midnight snack, this place feels like the right kind of detour. The late-night hours on weekends make it a reliable spot for college students, shift workers, or anyone with a taste for something greasy, cheesy, and satisfying after hours.

Community reviews say it best: this place feels like home

There’s something telling in the reviews people leave. It’s not just about how good the food is (though it really is), but how consistently welcoming the atmosphere is. Words like "friendly," "nostalgic," and "my favorite spot in town" show up again and again.

Whether it’s families with kids coming in after baseball games, high schoolers grabbing dinner on a budget, or old-timers who’ve been coming here for decades, the vibe stays the same: unpretentious and real.

Out-of-towners leave saying things like “I wish we had a place like this back home.” That kind of comment doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from a place doing what it does well, consistently, with heart.

Looking at the bigger picture, Main Street Footers isn’t just serving food—it’s serving community. It’s the kind of business that doesn’t just feed people, it becomes a part of their lives.
